Mining & Industrial Direct-Supply IPP
20 – 300 MW per off-taker
IPPs sell renewable power directly to Zimbabwe's 100+ intensive-energy users — mining and manufacturing companies backing 2,000 MW of new demand by 2025.

Zimbabwe is looking for investors to build power generation plants as IPPs selling directly to intensive energy users, largely big mining companies. The mining sector alone is projected to require about 2,000 MW by 2025, while industry runs at 60% and agriculture at 50% capacity. Tariffs sold directly to off-takers are unregulated and negotiated bilaterally.
Structure an IPP dedicated to one or more anchor off-takers — mining houses, smelters and manufacturing plants. Deliver power via on-site generation or dedicated transmission. Tariffs and terms are negotiated directly between the IPP and the off-taker without ZETDC regulation.
