Wind Energy Development
Up to 39 GW national potential
39 GW of wind resource identified across Zimbabwe — greenfield opportunity for onshore wind IPPs targeting the grid or corporate PPAs.

Alongside solar and hydro, Zimbabwe holds an estimated 39 GW of wind generation potential. The market is open to IPPs and PPP structures, with tariffs negotiated with ZETDC (regulated by ZERA) or agreed directly with the country's 100+ intensive-energy corporate consumers.
Develop and operate onshore wind farms under IPP, PPP, BOO or BOOT structures. Land can be secured through outright purchase or lease from private landowners. Power can be sold into ZETDC on a cost-reflective tariff or under bilateral PPAs to mining and industrial off-takers.
