Overview

Reserved Area RA MSC 002 covers 69,030 hectares just north of Bindura Town, approximately 90km to the north-east of Harare. The target area is to be explored for gold within a 3-year tenure, covering part of the Harare-Bindura-Shamva greenstone belt.

Project Description

The RA hosts the Freda-Rebecca Mine — the largest gold producer in the country — along with Kimberley and numerous smaller gold deposits, some worked by small to medium-scale operators. Gold deposits are found in all rocks of the greenstone belt and surrounding granitoids. Mineralisation is structurally and lithologically controlled and mostly occurs as shear zone-hosted quartz veins and lenses, and stockwork impregnations. Rampant illegal gold mining underscores the prospectivity of the RA, which geologically presents opportunity for a major discovery.
